Wheels on Fire, the newest exhibit at the Belton Area Museum Association, features all things wheels–wheels that make our lives more convenient, more fun, and more exciting.
The exhibit features child-friendly activities including a hubcap match up, a jungle gym of tires, a touch table to identify car parts, and a build-your-own Lego car and racetrack.
Visitors will enjoy a display of pedal cars representing the most classic car models of the early Twentieth Century, racing memorabilia and advertising tie-ins, a pair of vintage motorcycles, and photographs of people interacting with their wheels.
Items will be on display through April 8 during regular museum hours, from 9 AM – 2 PM Wednesday through Friday, and 9 AM – 1 PM on Saturday. Group tours can be arranged by appointment.
The exhibit is sponsored by Anderson County ATAX, City of Belton HTAX, Baron Tire Co., and Belton Motors, LLC. Thanks to the patronage of these sponsors, museum entry is free to the public.
