Let’s get some exercise, enjoy the outdoors, and learn about our area’s history.
BAMA is offering a homeschool historic walking tour on Friday, April 16. Families of home schoolers will learn first hand how the Belton area was historically significant to the wider American story from the 1700’s through Reconstruction.
Geared to fit 4th grade history standards, this tour will be hosted by historian Alison Ashley Darby, author of two books on the history of Belton.
With fascinating stories, tales of intrigue and adventure, she will lead families through the streets of Belton on a 1.5 mile hike beginning at 9 AM.
Fee is $5 per family. Proceeds benefit the Belton Area Museum Association.
Pre-registration by April 15 is required by calling 864-338-7400. Tours are limited to 15 people, so sign up today!
