Handmade, the newest exhibit at the historic Belton Train Depot, celebrates the craftsmanship of ordinary people who have extraordinary talent.
Vintage and antique articles all made by hand are on display. From utlitarian to the most ornate, items include quilts, tatted furniture covers, handmade lace, cobbled shoes, ironwork, ceramics, millinery, musical instruments, tools and implements for creating handmade goods, and more.
Sponsored by Anderson County ATAX and the City of Belton HTAX, the exhibit is free to visit. Museum hours are Wednesday – Friday, 9 to 2, and Saturday, 10 – 12. Group tours can be arranged by calling Abigail Burden, executive director, at 338-7400.
