There’s nothing better than celebrating Christmas in a hometown setting, gathering with friends and family and participating in the traditions that make the holidays special.
To get you in that festive mood, the Belton Area Museum Association, the Belton Center for the Arts, the Belton Alliance, and the City of Belton cordially invite you to enjoy a variety of Christmas activities in Historic Belton, SC, on Saturday, December 2, 2023.
Prior to the parade, visit the BCA from Noon to 3:30 PM to purchase one of a kind gifts from area vendors.
By 3:30 pm, you and your family are encouraged to line up along Main Street to view the annual Christmas Parade. Applications for entries are available and due now.
After the parade, everyone is invited to step across the street to the depot and marvel at the exhibit in the museum’s North End Gallery. Santa will welcome children young and old and everyone can enjoy cocoa and cookies.
At 5:00 PM, City of Belton representatives will announce the 2023 City of Belton Hall of Fame Inductees. This fourth class of inductees will be recognized for their contributions to the community.
Next, the crowd will gather around the 25 foot tall decorated Christmas tree. Mayor Eleanor Dorn accompanied by Belton’s City Council and City Administrator Alan Sims will officially begin the Christmas season with the lighting of the Christmas tree.
The beautiful voices of area children’s choirs will share familiar melodies of the Christmas season. Everyone is encouraged to sing along.
Awash in Christmas lights, the City of Belton becomes a picture-postcard to be enjoyed by all its citizens. Come join us!
